"Muang Boran - the 'Ancient City of Siam' - is, in my opinion, unique!!!
Some describe it as the largest open air museum in the world. However one describes it, there is no other museum or cultural experience or theme park which approaches its subject matter in quite this way.
This site, it's layout, and all the exhibits contained within, betray a very clear and deep pride and passion by the designers for the cultural history of their country, and a desire to show it to the world.
For tourists visiting Thailand and Bangkok, Muang Boran offers two things. It offers a peaceful, attractive respite from the city, and it offers a one day introduction to all that is special about this country and its cultural history. As the reputation of Muang Boran grows, I trust the site will retain its gentle appeal, whilst becoming the major tourist attraction it truly deserves to be. Today, the 'Ancient City of Siam' is one place I would recommend to anyone who visits this nation of Thailand."

Thompson was awarded the Order of the White Elephant, a decoration bestowed
upon foreigners for having rendered exceptional service to Thailand.

success story in Thailand has become one of the most popular postwar legends of

Thai cooking is a fine mix of Indian, Chinese and indigenous influences. Over centuries it has evolved to become what it is today – a flavorful and healthy world-renowned cuisine. But what really makes Thai foods so unique and loved? Actually it isn’t one item, but rather a combination of may ingredients, each contributing to make Thai cooking so tasty. To start with, Thailand is a “Land of Plenty”, being blessed with a year round growing season. Soils are fertile and rain is sufficient thereby allowing for a wide range of cultivatable crops.
At the Bangkok Thai Cooking Academy you can acquire new skills and techniques to combine, coconut milk, peppers, spices and herbs, seasonings, sauces, and curry pastes with vegetables and meat or seafood to make delicious dishes. Many of the herbs used in the cooking are grown organically at the school, ripe for picking on the day of your lesson.
The Academy itself is set in an authentic Thai house, where students have the choice of 9 different lessons, making over 30 different Thai dishes.
